Editable name tracing worksheets for your whole class
Paste your class list and download one PDF with a page for every student. Change a name and download again: there’s no template to edit and nothing to sign up for.
Each name gets its own page, up to 60 names. You can paste a column straight from a spreadsheet.
Print at 100% scale (“Actual size”) so the lines match.
Making sheets for a class
- Paste your names into the box, one per line. The preview shows the first student; use the page buttons to check the rest.
- Pick a letter style and size. Everyone on the list gets the same settings.
- Download the PDF. Every student’s page is in the same file, in the order you typed them.
- Print double-sided off, at 100% scale, so the letters sit on the lines.
Different sheets for different groups
Students arrive in kindergarten at very different places. Make one PDF with extra large, solid gray letters for students still building pencil control, and another with medium dotted letters and empty rows for students who are ready to write on their own.
Reusing the sheets
Slide each page into a sheet protector and keep them in a name-practice bin. Students can trace with dry-erase markers during morning work, and you only print once.
Questions people ask
How many names can I add?
Up to 60 names at a time. Each name gets its own page in the same PDF.
Are my students' names uploaded anywhere?
No. The pages are drawn and the PDF is built inside your browser, so student names never reach a server. That makes it easy to use under school privacy rules.
Can I paste names from a spreadsheet?
Yes. Copy a column from Excel or Google Sheets and paste it in. Names separated by commas work too.
Can I give different students different settings?
Yes. Make one PDF per group: for example, extra large gray letters for students who need more support, and medium dotted letters for those who are ready to write.
Is it really free for teachers?
Yes. There is no account, no watermark and no limit on how many sheets you print for your classroom.
